RIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

We understand that emergency situations are stressful, but we expect you to conduct yourself with courtesy, honesty, and respect.  The staff will treat all applicants fairly and respectfully as well.

You have the ultimate responsibility to provide the necessary documents to determine eligibility.

You have a right to understand the decision of the township.  If you do not understand the reason(s) for denial, ask for clarification.  You may request a copy of the relevant Standards.

If you believe you have been denied unfairly or not in accordance with the Standards and/or law, you are encouraged to appeal the decision to the Board of Allen County Commissioners of Allen County at Citizens Square (4th floor).  An appeal must be filed within fifteen (15) days of the decision date.  You may ask the staff for copies of your documentation at any time.
